Jodeci, a self-absorbed, queer twenty-something, moonlights as an inept criminal while investigating the disappearance of his delinquent cousin of the same name.

Set in the backwaters of Louisiana, this is an ensemble comedy, as well as being a tonally rich comedic thriller. Written and created by Brendan Logan, who takes his experience of growing up Black and queer in the American south to both frank and farcical levels.

A native of Ferguson, MO, Brendan began his career as a journalist and documentarian covering police brutality, black identities, and queer subcultures. This led him to producer positions at National Geographic, BuzzFeed News, and earned him an Emmy nomination. After leaving journalism to focus on writing, Brendan served as the Community Coordinator for Justin Simien’s production company, Culture Machine, as well as a writer’s assistant for DEAR WHITE PEOPLE. Most recently, Brendan was staffed in the mini room for Ron Nyswaner’s upcoming Showtime series FELLOW TRAVELERS.
