GREAT DAMES is an ensemble dark comedy centering around Dolly (70+) who flees Idaho for South Beach, Miami after her husband’s death, to find herself and live the life she always wanted.
She quickly makes new friends, and reconnects with an old flame - and they all make a pact to live life to their fullest until the very end.
But Dolly must eventually pay for her past mistakes….
Tonally TWILIGHT has the blunt honesty, and comedy/drama of FLEABAG and BETTER THINGS. It has the hard laughs and group dynamics of GOLDEN GIRLS, some dramatic moments reminiscent of SIX FEET UNDER, and a thriller storyline reminiscent of SEARCH PARTY driving the story forward.
We haven’t seen the 70’s set relish their Twilight years quite like this before.
Created and Directed by ANNA DOKOZA. Anna Dokoza is an Australian/American/Croatian (television) director and producer. Born in Sydney, Dokoza started her career in the news world (Associated Press TV, ABC News, 60 Minutes Australia) before transitioning into the unscripted world and directing MTV’s ADVENTURES IN HOLLYHOOD and VIVA LA BAM, and Bravo’s PROJECT RUNWAY among other series.
